Matthew Bacon tries to explain why
this issue had three different covers
If you have been a regular visitor to our
site this month, you have probably noticed that the
cover of the current issue changed several times.
Why?
Well, each month, the MyAtari editorial
team discuss ideas for the forthcoming issue. From these
initial ideas, a cover is designed to be both visually
appealing and represent one or more of the articles
inside the issue. Now because the contents of the current
issue of MyAtari changes as articles are received (we
have no editorial deadlines as our contributors have
lives to lead!), the focus of the issue can sometimes
change.
For instance, in this issue the initial
topic was to be "Building web sites on you Atari",
hence the Lego bricks and the "HTML is fun ;-)"
banner. A week or so later, the HTML tutorial series
was added to the issue and the cover was adapted to
represent this ("Our guide to building a homepage!").
The final change occurred when the article "How
to become a dotcom millionaire" was added to the
issue and the cover was changed to a tongue-in-cheek
version based on the fabulous television show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? by Celador.
So there you are... I hope this has
cleared up any confusion. We'll try to behave ourselves
next month ;-) |
